2014 Hungarian legislation on bank loans denominated in foreign currency infringes EU law, says EU Court

Hungarian legislation excluding the retroactive cancellation of a loan contract which includes an unfair term relating to the exchange rate risk is contrary to European Union law, the EU Court of Justice ruled in a judgment delivered on Thursday, 14 March (Case C-118/17).
