14/03/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 13 March, the Member States' ambassadors to the European Union (Coreper - Committee of the Permanent Representatives) approved the partial provisional interinstitutional agreement reached on the night of 7 to 8 March between representatives of the European Parliament and the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union on the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) 2021-2027 (see EUROPE 12210/5). It should be recalled that a simple partial agreement was expected, as the budget section could not be finalised due to the ongoing negotiations on the post-2020 multiannual financial framework. The European Parliament and the EU Council must now also give the green light to this partial agreement. (LT)
