13/03/2019 (Agence Europe) – No time to waste on the draft regulation establishing a European competence centre and a network of national coordination centres. Having just obtained their negotiating mandate during the day, the representatives of European Parliament and the EU Council entered into negotiations on the evening of Wednesday 13 March, as we were going to press (see EUROPE 12212/13). They hope to reach agreement before the European elections on this text, which aims to strengthen and complement existing research, technological and industrial capacities at EU and national level. Three new structures are envisaged: a European centre of industrial, technological and research competence at EU level, a network of national coordination centres at national level and a community of cybersecurity expertise at actor level.
