07/02/2019 (Agence Europe) – The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, called for the resumption of dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo on Wednesday evening, 6 February. "A full and legally binding normalisation agreement on all outstanding issues is urgent and crucial for Serbia and Kosovo to make progress towards the EU and for stability and peace in the region", she recalled in a tweet published after a telephone conversation with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. The customs duties imposed in November by Kosovo "must be cancelled" and "discussions must resume", she added (see EUROPE 12143). According to the Serbian Presidency, Mr Vučić explained to Ms Mogherini that the dialogue will only resume when Pristina eliminates its tariffs. (CG)
