Annual inflation down to 1.4% in Euro area in January

01/02/2019 (Agence Europe) – Euro area annual inflation reached 1.4% in the Euro area in January, according to a flash estimate by the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Friday 1 February. This rate thus marks a decrease of 0.2 points compared to December 2018 (see EUROPE 12174), whereas it was 1.9% in November 2018 (see EUROPE 12161).
