29/01/2019 (Agence Europe) – European Neighbourhood Policy Commissioner Johannes Hahn announced on Tuesday 29 January, during a trip to Armenia, that he had identified, together with Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, possible new areas of cooperation. “There are areas in particular in the economic sector where a particular focus and contribution from Europe is possible”, he announced to the press. He considered that the country's economic development was necessary to achieve a more resilient and democratic society. Mr Hahn mentioned agriculture, but also forward-looking technological sectors, judicial reform and education. In particular, Mr Hahn announced a new €23 million aid package in the field of education and innovation. (CG)
