Spain brought before Court for non-compliance with Floods Directive in Canary Islands

24/01/2019 (Agence Europe) – Spain will be brought before the EU Court of Justice for persistent non-compliance with the EU Directive on flood risk assessment and management (2007/60/EC) in the Canary Islands, the European Commission announced on Thursday 24 January. This European directive was to be transposed by 22 March 2016, the deadline for all Member States to complete, publish and notify the Commission of their risk management plans.
