MEPs vote to provide safeguards for liberalisation of coach transport

Members of the European Parliament's Transport Committee voted (26 votes to 14 with 1 abstention) on Tuesday 22 January in favour of Roberts Zīle’s report (ECR, Latvia) on the liberalisation of coach and bus transport, particularly favouring the protection of public service contracts. 

This vote echoes the draft text put on the table by the Latvian MEP (see EUROPE 12048), itself following the European Commission's proposal of 8 November 2017 from the second mobility package to revise...
