10/01/2019 (Agence Europe) – Hungarian leader Viktor Orbán named his enemies for the European elections on Thursday 10 January at a press conference in Budapest. Believing that immigration will be the main theme of the election, he vilified the pro-immigration European liberal forces embodied in Emmanuel Macron, according to him, reported the AFP. The Hungarian hoped that the "anti-immigration" parties would win the elections. He also welcomed the willingness of the leader of the Italian Lega, Matteo Salvini, and the Polish PiS party to form an alliance based on the protection of the EU's borders and the defence of Christian roots. On the same day in Brussels, the Conference of Presidents of Political Groups of the European Parliament granted the request of the Greens/EFA Group to hold a new plenary debate on the political situation in Hungary during the mini plenary session at the end of January.
