11/12/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 11 December, MEPs adopted the inter-institutional agreements on the revision of the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop), defended by Anne Sander (EPP, France), that of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA), negotiated by Czesław Hoc (ECR, Poland), and that of the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound), defended by Enrique Calvet Chambon (ALDE, Spain). Among the major changes to mention, the introduction of an European Parliament representative on the boards of the various organisations, the strengthening of the gender balance and an extension of the scope of activities of organisations, in particular Cedefop (see EUROPE 12119). Inter-institutional negotiations with the Council have been hampered because of the impact they could have on those relating to the European Labour Authority (see other news). (PH)
