Council adopts its position on rules to facilitate online registration of companies

Member States' ambassadors to the EU (Coreper) reached political agreement in principle on Wednesday 5 December on the proposal for a directive to facilitate the use of digital tools for company registration and online information management (see EUROPE 12009). 

The Council has kept the main elements of the text, but specifies in its text that the powers of Member States to refuse the registration of a company or branch in cases of fraud or abuse should not be affected by this...
