28/11/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 27 November, the Secretary-General of the European External Action Service (EEAS), Helga Schmid, and Kuwait's Deputy Foreign Minister, Khaled Al-Jarallah, discussed the strengthening of cooperation between the EU and Kuwait. The two sides discussed ways to develop closer cooperation in the fields of energy, development cooperation, humanitarian aid, security and counter-terrorism, according to an EEAS statement. “The importance of the EU-Gulf Cooperation Council for Clean Energy Network as a tool to foster further cooperation in clean energy, technology, and policies was underlined,” explained the EEAS. In terms of security and the fight against terrorism, cooperation on issues such as the exchange of information, financing of terrorism and cyber security was discussed. (HD)
