Food insecurity has doubled in eight years due to imposed economic austerity, according to three NGOs

The economic austerity measures, imposed on Greece since 2010 under three financial rescue plans, have been a violation of the Greek people’s internationally guaranteed right to food by the Greek State and its official creditors, according to the Transnational Institute (TNI), FIAN International and Agroecopolis in a study published on Tuesday 20 November.
