Agreement in Council on deep-sea fish stocks for 2019 and 2020

On Monday evening, 19 November, EU Fisheries Ministers reached political agreement on the 2019 and 2020 quotas for deep-sea fish in the North-East Atlantic (see EUROPE 12140). 

Compared to the European Commission's initial proposals, the EU Council has limited reductions in total allowable catches (TACs) for certain stocks of roundnose grenadier, black scabbardfish and red sea bream.
