European Parliament votes to harmonise data reporting obligations in EU legislation

The European Parliament voted on Thursday 25 October in Strasbourg in favour of the proposal for a regulation that will align the reporting obligations of Member States and other stakeholders in the field of EU environmental policy. 

The voted text will streamline the communication of information to be communicated by Member States under six directives and four regulations, modernising information management and reducing bureaucratic burden.
