Central European University gets ready to move to Vienna, unless its authorisation is renewed by the Hungarian government

On Thursday 25 October, the Rector of the Central European University (CEU) of Budapest, Michael Ignatieff, announced that the CEU would be forced to move to Vienna at the start of the academic year 2019, unless the Hungarian government signs the agreement with the State of New York that allows this university, founded by George Soros, to operate on Hungarian soil, before 1 December.
