Excise duty – Brewers of Europe warn of discrimination against flavoured beer ahead of EP vote

With the members of the European Parliament to vote in Strasbourg on Wednesday 24 October on the draft report for the opinion by Miguel Viegas (GUE/NGL, Portugal) advising the Council to adopt without modification the updated rules on the excise duty structure applicable to alcohol, the Brewers of Europe have warned that these discriminate against flavoured beers.
