The European Union and the Republic of The Gambia signed a new Sustainable Fisheries Partnership Agreement 22 years after the expiry of the previous protocol, the European Commission welcomed the European Commission on Monday 22 October (see EUROPE 12107).
This fisheries agreement allows EU vessels to fish in Gambian waters and thus extends the network of tuna fisheries agreements in West Africa.
