10/10/2018 (Agence Europe) – Parliamentary work on the programme for a Digital Europe is progressing slowly. Seven parliamentary committees are due to submit their opinions before the committee responsible, the industry committee, can give its opinion on 21 November. But the rapporteur and shadow rapporteurs of this committee have already started work: "My draft report was examined on 3 September and 287 amendments were tabled. We had a first meeting of the shadow rapporteurs on 26 September. We have one on 10 October and another next week", suggested Austrian Liberal MEP Angelika Mlinar, identifying the overall objective of the programme and, therefore, its scope and eligibility of participants as key elements (see EUROPE 12077).
