EU increases its help to earthquake victims through EU civil protection mechanism

04/10/2018 (Agence Europe) – On 3 October, European solidarity was stepped up through the EU  civil protection mechanism to help the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia(see EUROPE 12107).  Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Spain and the UK offered means in response to Indonesia’s request for water purification equipment, emergency shelters, generators and other essential supplies, the European Commission stated on Thursday 4 October.  The Commission's Emergency...
