Following a marathon voting session in Brussels on Wednesday 26 September, the committee on budgets of the European Parliament decided to cancel the credit cuts for 2018 targeting investments in infrastructure and the research programme Horizon 2020 that were decided upon by the Council in July, and increased the envelopes of certain programmes, such as the Erasmus+ youth mobility scheme (see EUROPE 12095).
