20/09/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 19 September, the EU delegation to Libya, the Deutsche Welle Akademie and Libyan representatives launched the Media Development in Libya project – the aim of which is to support the role of free and independent media in Libya’s transformation process. According to a press release from the EU delegation, the project (http://www.mediainlibya.com ) "will provide training for journalists and other media professionals from all regions of Libya". "It will also offer training and technical assistance to relevant Libyan institutions, thereby promoting the production of quality journalism – by Libyans for Libyans", the delegation adds. The EU is financing the project for a maximum of €4.4 million. (CG)
