Hungary announces it will turn back on future Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration

19/07/2018 (Agence Europe) – Unsurprisingly, Hungary will not subscribe to the future Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, which was the subject of an agreement at the UN on 14 July and which is to be concluded formally in Marrakesh in December (see EUROPE 12005).  Hungary's Foreign Affairs Minister Peter Szijjarto said in Budapest on Wednesday 18 July that his country should withdraw from the approval process.  "Hungary must withdraw from the approval process",...
