11/07/2018 (Agence Europe) – The vice-president of the European Commission responsible for energy, Maros Sefcovic, is to meet with the Russian minister for energy, Alexander Novak, and the Ukrainian energy minister, Ihor Nasalyk, in Berlin on 17 July. They will begin a new series of talks with Russia and Ukraine on the conditions for gas supplies and future transit through Ukraine of Russian gas intended for the EU, it was learnt on Wednesday 11 July. The meeting should take stock of hot issues such as Russian gas transit through Ukraine after 2019 and the impact of the German-Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project. (EH)
