11/07/2018 (Agence Europe) – On 5 July, member state experts unanimously supported the European Commission’s proposal to increase to twice a month the frequency of calls for tenders for the sale of skimmed milk stocks (see EUROPE 12044). The aim was to: speed up disposal of the public intervention stocks accumulated during the 2016 milk crisis. A call for tenders will be launched during the last week of August (when no tendering was initially foreseen). Another will be organised in September, and then two in October, two in November and a last in December. In 2019, two calls for tenders will also be held each month except in August, September and December (just one). (LC)
