25/06/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 25 June, the EU Council of Ministers agreed to publish the negotiation mandates granted to the European Commission on 22 May to negotiate free trade agreements with Australia and New Zealand. The Commission officially launched these negotiations with Australia on 18 June, and with New Zealand on 21 June. An initial series of talks for each of these two agreements will take place in the first half of July(see EUROPE 12043, 12046). (EH)
