Council of EU adopts regulation establishing MRV system for CO2 from heavy goods vehicles

25/06/2018 (Agence Europe) – The EU Environment Council meeting in Luxembourg on Monday 25 June, formally adopted the European regulation which, for the first time, establishes a system for the monitoring and communication of data on CO2 emissions and fuel consumption by newly registered heavy goods vehicles within the EU.  This monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) system will apply to HGVs, buses and coaches and is comparable to that already existing for light vans and cars. ...
