14/06/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 14 June, the Board of Directors of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) approved the disbursement of the second sub-tranche of €1 billion for Athens under the third monitoring mission of the third bailout plan (see EUROPE 11944). With a first sub-tranche of €5.7 billion having already been paid out, this second tranche was delayed by six days, due to the lack of progress made by the Greek authorities up to last week in the clearance of debt arrears (see EUROPE 12038). Readers may recall that the Eurogroup meeting of 21 June in Luxembourg is expected to take note of Athens' exit from this final financial bailout plan in August (see other article). The Vouli, the Greek single-chamber parliament, moreover voted on the same day in favour of priority measures in the framework of the fourth monitoring mission. (LT)
