Parliament opposes budget cuts after 2020 that will change objectives of traditional policies

In Strasbourg on Wednesday 30 May, the European Parliament opposed any budget cuts over the period 2021-2027 that will change the objectives of the agriculture and cohesion policies of the EU (see EUROPE 12029).

The European Parliament adopted (by 409 votes to 213, with 61 abstentions) a joint resolution (EPP, S&D, ALDE and Greens/EFA) on the 2021-2027 multiannual financial framework and the own resources.
