EU support for two gas interconnection projects in Baltic Sea region

In a backdrop to the Energy Infrastructure Forum on 24 May in Copenhagen, Climate Action and Energy Commissioner, Miguel Arias Cañete, witnessed the signing of two agreements for two major infrastructure projects for the Baltic Sea.  These projects are eligible for Community support under the status of EU Projects of Common Interest (PCIs): the Gas Interconnector between Denmark and Poland (Baltic-Pipe) and the Gas Interconnector between Poland and Lithuania (GIPL).
