Course maintained towards inter-institutional agreement by end of June on European energy/climate governance mechanism

The inter-institutional negotiations on the draft regulation on EU level governance for energy and climate policies made progress during the third trilogue session of talks on 23 May last. The Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU and European Parliament negotiators, headed by the latter’s rapporteurs Michèle Rivasi from France and Claude Turmes (Greens/EFA, Luxembourg), are still hoping for an agreement during the next session planned for 19 June.
