Parliament ready to negotiate with Council over hire of planes and staff from non-EU companies

24/05/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 24 May, the European Parliament’s transport committee granted Ana-Claudia Tapardel (S&D, Romania) a mandate for the inter-institutional trialogue talks with the Council of the European Union on the revision of Regulation 1008/2008 on the hire by European airlines of aircraft and their team of staff third from companies.  Tapardel’s draft report was endorsed in committee on 25 April after voting characterised by errors of interpretation by MEPs...
