02/05/2018 (Agence Europe) – Seasonally adjusted GDP grew by 0.4% in the Eurozone and the European Union in first quarter of the year 2018, according to a flash estimate of the statistical office of the European Union (Eurostat), published on Wednesday 2 May. This means that growth slowed by 0.3% and 0.2% respectively compared to the previous quarter in both zones. Between the first quarters of 2017 and 2018, the growth rate stood at 2.5% of GDP in the Eurozone and 2.4% of GDP in the EU, having stood at 2.8% and 2.7% of GDP respectively between the fourth quarters of 2016 and 2017.
