Food waste and unfair trade practices to be discussed at Council on Monday 16 April

EU agriculture ministers will gather in Luxembourg on Monday 16 April to take stock of action undertaken to reduce food waste and to share their initial responses to the proposal on tacking unfair trading practices.

Under the chairmanship of their Bulgarian counterpart Rumen Porodzanov, ministers will discuss ways of further reducing food waste (see EUROPE 11993). With around one third of food wasted globally (including in Europe), this is one of the priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency...
