27/03/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 22 March, representatives of the Council and Parliament met once again to discuss the regulation on the single digital gateway, to take stock of the political points still to be settled. These include the legal base of the text, but also the name and logo of the gateway, the language regime and costs for its implementation. The other points still to be discussed include cross-border access to administrative procedures, applying the 'once only' principle, the responsibilities of the gateway's coordination group and the entry into force of the regulation. The next inter-institutional meeting will be held on 23 April. The Bulgarian Presidency has high hopes of concluding the dossier before the end of its mandate, observing that the Parliament's positions (see EUROPE 11967) and that of the Council (see EUROPE 11916) broadly correspond.
