27/03/2018 (Agence Europe) – At the request of the European Commission, Ricardo Energy & Environment consultants have been put in charge of carrying out a study into the working conditions of pilots and aircrews in European and international aviation. This study involves identifying the different forms of work contract, particularly the “a-typical contracts" and seeks to provide greater protection for pilots. The Commission could also publish a communication on the social aspects of aviation in the autumn. The confidential questionnaire is available to pilots in Europe and elsewhere who work for airlines registered in the European Economic Area (EEA) until 7 May.
