21/03/2018 (Agence Europe) – On the eve of the sustainable finance conference to be held in Brussels, the European Commissioner for Financial Services, Valdis Dombrovskis, shared his expectations of this high-level meeting with the press on Wednesday 21 March. “What we expect is feedback on the action plan, which has received so far largely positive reactions”, Dombrovskis explained, referring to the package of measures presented on 8 March (see EUROPE 11977). The Commission also hopes to gauge the “willingness of member states and other players to move forward”, he added. To do this, the action plan will be presented to the heads of state or government at the summit on Thursday and Friday. More than 400 people are expected to attend this conference, amongst them Jean-Claude Juncker, Emmanuel Macron and Michael Bloomberg. (MF)
