On Wednesday 21 March, European Commissioner with responsibility for enlargement negotiations Johannes Hahn condemned the release of tear gas in the Kosovar parliament as MPs were preparing to vote on ratification of the agreement on the demarcation of the border with neighbouring Montenegro.
