Calls at WTO and OECD to avoid tension on steel degenerating into trade war

During a meeting of the General Council of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in Geneva on Wednesday 7 March, the USA's trade partners urged the US administration to reconsider a project to set up anti-dumping duties against imports of steel and aluminium, a WTO source close to the issue told EUROPE.

China raised the issue and the EU, as well as 16 other member countries of WTO (including Japan, India, Australia, Norway, Russia and Taiwan), warned that the USA's action would be"unjustified...
