05/03/2018 (Agence Europe) – The Platform for a Dialogue between the European Union and Catalonia, which brings together around 30 MEPs from all political sides and from 11 member states, announced the launch of a dedicated website on Monday 5 March. This aims to "institutionalise" the platform and to facilitate communication with the wider public about the group's activities, a press release states. The group of MEPs adopted a manifesto on 29 November 2017, in which it called for: - the release of Catalan prisoners from Spanish gaols; - the annulment of Catalonia's supervision by the Spanish State, through activation of Article 155 of the Spanish Constitution; - mediation by the EU, and; - an agreement between the central government and Catalonia to organise a legally recognised referendum.
