EESC calls for European dialogue to encourage action by non-state players

With non-state players already heavily involved in the fight against climate change, it would require very little to tap into their full potential: according to the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), all it would take is a European dialogue to accelerate climate action and provide the necessary impetus.

To send a strong message of encouragement to citizens, a European dialogue on non-state climate action was called for by the EESC in an opinion adopted on Thursday 1 March.
