A pregnant worker can be made redundant as part of a collective redundancy

On Thursday 22 February in Case C-103/16, the judges from the European Court of Justice (ECJ) decided that pregnant workers may be dismissed on grounds of a collective redundancy if the employer provides the dismissed pregnant worker with the reasons justifying the redundancy, in writing, as well as the objective criteria chosen to identify the workers to be dismissed.
