With the British government having just published its position on the future transition period(see EUROPE 11966) and still needing to take a clear position on the future trade relations it wants to form with the EU, European Council President Donald Tusk is to inform his colleagues on Friday about the way forward and the sequence of events ahead of adopting the EU guidelines on these future relations at the next European Council on 23 March.
