12/02/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 9 February, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) officially launched the EASA IPA 4 programme, a technical cooperation project supporting the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia) and Turkey. The two-year project is financed by the EU’s Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) and aims at assisting the countries’ integration into the EU aviation system. Its cooperation activities will focus on three areas covering safety management, safety analysis and occurrence reporting, and competence development. (LT)
