11/12/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 11 December, the European Commission finalised the political negotiations on behalf of the EU for signing an aviation agreement with Tunisia. This agreement aims to facilitate market access for airlines established in the Union and Tunisia and should also help strengthen connectivity between the two parties. This agreement will also establish a common legal framework for safety and security in the aviation field. The respective negotiating parties consider that the entry into force of this new agreement will lead to an increase of 800,000 passengers to the EU or Tunisia over a five-year period. The two parties now have to sign and ratify the agreement according to their internal procedures. (LT)
