The annual inflation rate stood at 1.4% and 1.7% respectively in the Eurozone and in the EU in October, which represents a drop of 0.1% compared to September (1.5% and 1.8%), according to an assessment by the statistical office of the European Union (Eurostat) published on Thursday 16 November.
However, this rate is considerably higher than the one observed in October 2016, when it stood at 0.5% for both the Eurozone and the EU.
