07/11/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 7 November, the European Commission approved the prolongation of the Portuguese guarantee scheme on European Investment Bank (EIB) lending until 7 May 2018. Through this regime, the authorities give state guarantees to banks standing as guarantors on EIB loans to businesses established in Portugal, without compromising the liquidity of the banks in question.
