Launch of EU SysFlex project for integration of renewable electricity grids

On Tuesday 7 November, the main European electricity companies met in Dublin to launch the EU SysFlex initiative on research into the integration of renewable electricity grids.

Led by Ireland’s electricity grid operator EirGrid and coordinated on a technical level by French group EDF, SysFlex runs until 2021 and has €20 million in EU funding under the Horizon 2020 programme.  It involves 34 organisations from 15 European countries and includes electricity transmission system...
