Belgium drawn up over Euratom drinking water directive

04/10/2017 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission sent a reasoned opinion to Belgium on Wednesday 4 October, calling on it to fully transpose Council Directive 2013/51/Euratom on protection from radioactive substances in drinking water. Member States were required to transpose the Directive by 28 November 2015. The directive establishes requirements relating to the protection of the health of the general public against radioactive substances in water intended for human consumption. It...
