18/07/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 17 July, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini announced that she would visit Kuwait on Sunday 23 July, which is acting as mediator in the Gulf crisis between Qatar on one side, and Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt on the other. "I will visit Kuwait", she said, adding that the EU supported and accompanied Kuwait in its role as mediator, and that the EEAS was in regular daily contact with the country. "So I am going to visit Kuwait next Sunday", she announced, at the end of the Foreign Affairs Council.
